Toner's plexi and 2203!

Post by toner » Wed Jan 28, 2009 2:07 pm

Hi.
Here's some clips of my plexi and 2203. All are Les Paul unless noted "strat".

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... tent=music" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just guitar, amp and two mics. NO effects.

Mics: Audix D3 close panned left, SM57 room panned right

Let me know what you think. Any feedback would be appreciated (good or bad). Thanks.

Nice clips. Great early break up settings.

I like the two mics approach too, it adds some dimension.

Thanks George!

Yeah, I usually play cleaner than some of the guys around here. The amps sound more aggressive in the room than what the clips show.

All of the Les Paul plexi clips were shared cathode and 56k/250p tone stack. I have split/shared and a 3 way tone stack so the amp can get much more gain than what's in these clips. Strat clips were split cathode and 33k/500p.
