volumes are lower but the kt88 are nice even when they are not breaking up.

Wow! Great playing! Sounds like you were having alot of fun too! Very cool!

The 1st part [first 2 min.], your tone sounded alittle like Jimmy Page`s tone somewhere in the middle of 'Heartbreaker' on 'LZ-2'--nice!

And then after that, you just 'poured it on'--look out!--that was great!

Is that the Metro 'Lar/Mar PPIMV'?

Thanks. I was having fun. It was sloppy in spots and I should not have gone for the real high E. But I kept is all as decent 1rst take as I was running out of time to do another one. Someday I'll get my chops completely back. I'm really starting to like the Les Paul on both pickups. It just seems to go well with this head.

I think that it is the Metro PPIMV. It is just the standard pull off the bias splitters and the caps to a dual 500k pot.

The volume was really low. You could talk loud over it. Really is a nice sounding amp.

The amp had some good NOS el34s in it, but the kt88 seem to breath better. Especially when dimed.

that is a fantastic clip i loved every minute of it! what mods did you do on that amp to run kt88s and how many are you running. What are you using for reverb and delay it sounds nice but still not as nice as a wem copicat lol. Well done!

Thanks

All the verb and delay was added in Reaper.

The mods...I just went down to 100k for the bias splitters and and lowered the bias feed resistor to get the bias to around 60% (can't remember the actuall voltages and miliamps). And I'm just running two in it now as 4 produces around 150 watts or more.

The amp sounds better when it is turned up past 7(takes the harshness out). But, I was really impressed with how good it sounded at very low volumes. That is why I recorded it.

you can be surprised how good marshalls sound at low volumes i did a recording with my superbass and a wem copicat at a low volume and i am talking around 4 and it nailed that rockn'roll slap back sound nicely. With my sb it's still el34s your amp sounds really nice well done again
