It definitely doesnt sound much like a treble booster is there but Ive been able to get close to that effect by having the amp set up so bass heavy and with so little treble its extreme effects are similarly hard to tell. Its not easy to get that tight a sound with that huge a low end without something "boosting" highs early on, maybe a brite cap but I didnt think BBs would come with a brite cap big enough to be significant like that.shakti wrote:Personally I don't buy into the Rangemaster theory with Clapton, but that's a can of worms that's best left unopened.
And mids on a Marshall is at 10, always!

I just heard the clip(about 8 months late)
.
Exceptional. Great tone! Nice playing, too.
That settles it for me. I'm done with all my bastardized specs, and going right to a full on 45. Thanks! Damn. That was sweet.

Hell, this is the first time I've seen this thread at all. BB, you've got plenty of great licks at your disposal, sir! While not spot on to the WOF Crossroads tone, considering you're doing it at low volume it was pretty damn good, IMO.
Mind if I use your clip on the site for the H55 30w?

"Ridiculously attenuated JTM45/100. Recorded with some generic mic and reverb into 4 Scumback 55's. Sounds WAY better than whatever piece of crap you're playing through now. Guaranteed."
