Re: Dagnall T-2562 schematic
Thanks for the diagram!
I posted pics in the other thread of the two, they are a little different.
I'll try to start testing it today.

Got the pics on other thread, wondering what your test results were?

Re: Dagnall T-2562 schematic
I tested across all the coils and found continuity across all.
I think I am just gonna hook it up and see what happens!
I did notice that the voltage selector in my amp is gone, so I don't think I am going to hook anything else up except 110v.

Re: Dagnall T-2562 schematic
Okay, I got it installed and what I think is the correct wiring.
On initial power up every thing seems okay, light comes on and no burning or smoking. PT is cold.
When I turn the amp from standby to play, it works like it used to. The only thing I notice is that all 4 power tubes seem really red and hot. The PT got a little warm but again no smoke or smell. I only let it go for a minute or two and shut it off. It did seem to keep playing after switched to standby. I don't recall it doing that before.
Is it possible i wired something wrong to make tubes seem so hot, or is that normal? I didn't re-bias either.
As you can see for pics, the wires were not exactly same from each transformer. I used the T2562 schematic to try and matchup best I could.
Any help would be great!
Thanks

Changing the PT can (most likely will) change voltages and bias point. I would definitely check voltages and set the bias.Mxzx wrote:...Is it possible i wired something wrong to make tubes seem so hot, or is that normal? I didn't re-bias either...

Okay, where do I begin on voltage checking?

Re: Dagnall T-2562 schematic
Hopefully Toner is right and all you need is a rebias, but I did suggest that you check all the votages out before you hook up!
Sounds like the PT is a runner anyway.
You must check your bias setting and the rest of the voltages in the amp before you proceed further.
