On some of my builds, I've noticed that I might be under wattaged (if that's a word) in some places. My 8.2K is a 1 watt with the 10K in series at a 2/3 Watt. Also in the pre-amp section, the two 10K 's at the 16uF filtering are also 2/3 watt. I've seen at least one Watt in these places. Thoughts?
Also, the 100k between pins 1&6 on V2. Is a 1/4 watt ok there?
p.s. Builds are 68 superlead spec.

Re: The importance of proper wattage resistors.
use 2+w power resistors and 1/2+w ordinary resistors and 5+w screen resistors. or it will catch fire

No shit? WOW!
OK so help me out just a little more here. The 8.2K and 10K that are in series need to be at least 2W. I get that. Do both the 10K's in the pre-amp are need to be as well? Or just the one across the board?

Re: The importance of proper wattage resistors.
If my memory serves me correctly, 1/2w resistors have a working voltage of 300 to 350Vdc, and 1w resistors have a working voltage of 500Vdc. Therefore, the minimum wattage for the 8K2 and all the 10K resistors should be 1w. The 100K resistor that bridges pins # 1 and 6 on V2 should be a 1/2w due to the voltage present at that location.

Dude, great info. So the prudent thing for me would be to measure what's going on here in terms of voltages and make more educated decisions. Would help if I understood ohm's law for this huh?

It may do alot more damage than just catching on Fire.....
