I also think that 470nf has to be over 820.

Perhaps the second shield is little too long, original sound is less smooth, but mids and mid bass are perfect

Sounds nothing like AFD, sounds as if your amp is not working right :what:

Its nothing to do with business, i have no interest in making money with amp mods,

I have downloaded your new clip from YT & put it with the wttj master track, to me its wrong, your track sounds very flat & muffled, & to me it also sounds like the wrong speaker, take a listen for yourself,

Benny's new clip with wttj master track,

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13283384

I would say its about 60% there.

Benny, I like your clip and especially that you can sell those tunes because you can play them well and with the perfect feeling. Would you be willing to share your settings, are you using an attenuator or is this just master @ 1. I can hear your strings through. Is this just recorded on your phone?

Nigel, I really don't see the point in this. It's obvious that the recording techniques are different, especially if Benny is using his phone to record. These 2 clips are actually the same recording but two mixes, they sound quite differently.

My point is Benny thinks its 100% AFD tone, & my opinion is its not, & whats the point of recording with your phone anyway, if Benny is trying to prove he has the AFD tone record it right, & let us all hear that it is a 100 % perfect.

In the two clips you have used as an example you can still hear its the same tone, where in Benny's case its not.

Also it seems that you are not allowed to voice an opinion around here, as soon as you do you are cut down saying you are doing it only for business reasons, which in my case is totally wrong.

Now i'm just working on shield tricks and setting bias....the set of bias change the voicing.....original 34 have very low bias....so make some experiments with this.....i don't have yet close but is very near....AFD sound in some parts are fuzzy and low fi.....the first shield trick create fuzzy tone and create the mid bass voicing, more long more fuzzy more midbass and amp sound scooped, with 470n create greenback approach.....second shield simply cut highs....isn't real important on the sound.....but remove hiss and control the sound....so the 2 shields don't have the same lenght and find the right lenght isn't easy......i have the home full of shield tricks with various lenght :D

I don't think nothing....i'm perfectly convinced that i haven't nailed 100% the afd sound....if wasn't don't change nothing in my amp.....if work on now probably is cause i would nailed at 100%.....obviously with a right record and an high volume will be sound better.....but voicing not depend to record....if you don't ear the right voicing perhaps you have some ear problems....character of amp is right....now i search the shades.....nail the shades isn't easy.....i could make it on many years....i have understand that the game are play all on shield tricks....

Good for you Benny :toast:

So I asked Frank Levi which speaker he used to develop the 36 mod & he told me, here is a clip from said speaker,

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13282947

same spec as other clips.

Ok Frank was used a speaker for development but Slash have used the same speaker for afd recording? We are not sure......
