Okay I'll bite. It seems a little safer to come out and play. Can it be true that we can cross the bridge without needing the three billy goats gruff to knock the trolls off?
Anyone interested in more conversations with Neal Moser about his work at West Coast?
How about Jerry Sanders, the founder of West Coast Organ and Amp?

Re: Jimi Hendrix' Gear and Mods at West Coast Organ and Amp
Thanks to all those who wrote me personal letters of support during the time these threads were taken over by our old nemeses. The advice was usually the same, just carry on and don't let them bother you. I could have done better on that account. I really suspect those two have been deeply hurt in the past and desperately wanted their voices heard, their anger got the best of them no doubt.
So, more Neal and some Jerry. I can provide that. Might be interesting to know where all this West Coast stuff really came from.
One big,(and valid I might add) question seems to be, "How come nobody ever heard anything about West Coast in all the books and biographical information that's been published over all the years since Jimi's career began?"
Could everyone involved have never noticed the West Coast stickers on the backs of the amps, guitars, and pedals?
Why did I "crawl out from under a rock 45 years later, and try to revise the whole Jimi experience?"........
I'll probably never have a completely satisfying answer for everyone, especially those who were so invested in believing they had the whole thing figured out because Eddie Kramer said so.
I'll go over it again soon.

All those wonderful Jimi tracks should keep this forum running for a year! I hope everyone has downloaded them just in case the Hendrix machine decides that the general public doesn't own them.
Some of those tracks may have some West Coast meddling on them.......

Re: Jimi Hendrix' Gear and Mods at West Coast Organ and Amp
Well those were the crazy days at West Coast Organ and Amp, I do look a little mad--probably on purpose. Even a blown out speaker for a hat!
A hazy look deep into the past. Must have been in February, because that's the only time you wear flannel shirts in LA.
By the way that contraption I am playing into is a reamp system built for (I think) Hamilton Wesley Watt III, a well known guitar player around Hollywood at the time. I built him all sorts of contraptions, including the first multiple foot pedal rack.
The reamp was essentially a stand alone amplifier with a 3 watt amp and a 3x5 speaker which fired out the side. The unit had a lot of tone control so you could just dial in your sound, take it to the hotel to rehearse, and then haul it back to the gig with the sound you liked and plug it into your stack. It had gain switching so you didn't need a fuzz. I was pretty sure at the time that reamping was the wave of the future since it offered so many advantages.
The amp was like a mini Fender bassman, even a push-pull output stage, a 5687 twin triode.
I'm not sure whose guitar I was playing, could have belonged to any famous guitar god of the day.
It ain't much but it's a glimpse.
