Here's the place to post patch diagrams/pics of our PA systems.
On mine I'm running:
An old 1976 Peavey 6 channel powered mixer with 100 watts per channel @ 8 ohms
1 Peavey 15"/Horn w/400 watts continuous power handling
2 Car Stereo Speakers(Used for monitors)
Had y'all goin' there for a minute...
But seriously:
Main System
Mackie 1604VLZ Pro 16/4/2 Mixer
dbx DriveRack PA (This unit is an all in one house graphic/parametric EQ, compressor, crossover, multiband limiter, built in RTA and feedback elimination, as well as a multi band time alignment)
dbx is set for 2x3(2 stereo inputs(L/R) with L/R mains out and mono subs) mode
QSC PLX3402(700 Watts per channel @ 8 ohms stereo) - Mains
QSC PLX1602(1600 Watts Bridged Mono @ 4 ohms) - Subs
Mains: 2x ElectroVoice Gladiator 15"/Constant Directivity Horn
Subs: 2x ElectroVoice Force i subs loaded with Peavey Black Widow 18"s
Monitor system -
Monitors are fed from Aux 1 & 2 off the FOH board
Monitor EQ: Behringer FBQ3102 Dual 31-Band EQ w/Feedback Indicators
Monitor Amp: Peavey PV1500(300 Watts per channel @ 8 ohms - 1 for each monitor circuit)
Monitors: Yamaha SM12V 12"/Horn
Processing -
Channels 1-6, which are my drum channels, have gated compressors on them. The only thing compressed is the kick while the toms are just gated.
Ch 1/2: dbx 266XL 2 channel gated compressor
Ch 3-6: Behringer MDX4600 4 channel gated compressor
Vocal Effects: All vocal effects are ran using Aux 3 for Reverb and Aux 4 for Delay
Vocal Processor: TC Electronic M300 Dual Engine Effects Processor
FOH Rack contains the mixer and all processors, plus the monitor EQ and a dual deck CD player for break music
Stage Rack contains the dbx DriveRack Loudspeaker Controller along with all the amps.
Both racks connect together via a bi-directional snake w/16 inputs and 4 sends
Sends A/B are Left/Right send respectively
Sends C/D are Monitor 1/2 send respectively
Sends A/B come straight off the mixer main outs L/R
Sends C/D come straight off of Monitor 1/2's EQ output
All speaker cables are Neutrik NL4 Speakon type

My great friend Bob from JR Sound here in Flint builds knock off JBL tops and EV bottoms. So I've always had lots of those around.
Qsc or Crown power amps. Lots of Ashley EQ's, Dbx comps, Yamaha FX. Typical stuff.
A few Mackie boards over the years. But I like the Soundcraft stuff way better. Allen & Heath makes nice boards too.

The new band I'm in has waayyy too much Behrenger stuff (comps are OK, not crazy about other stuff though)!!!!!
I just wish I could talk them into using my Peavey RQ4324 console in place of the Behrenger. That console listed for $1800, and is now in the Crest product line. Granted the Behrenger console has 8 subgroups, but we don't even run in stereo. The Behrenger is a nice board (for a Behrenger that is) w/ separate power supply, many auxs, etc. Have a Sonic Maximizer in the FOH mix as well......
I also have a nice Rane Graphic and a Peavey XD 2/3/4 crossover that we don't use, but there's talk of going to a DBX DRPA (sure hope that happens).
I gotta admit that they do make it sound verrry nice considering though (and I'm a picky bastard to boot)!!!!!
Mains & monitors are all Peavey:
2 218SPX
2 DTH 215s w/horn
4 15" Q Wave monitors,
and QSC for the power.........
SM 57s & 58s all the way around 'cept for the lead vocalists wireless (Sennheiser or AT, can't remember which), and I have an EV N/D468 on my guitar cab.

Let's get going, 'cause there's too much music, too little time!!!!

On that DBX DRPA...I would go to the Peavey VSX-26. It has as many features as the dbx DR260(which is one up from the DriveRack PA), but at the same price of the DRPA. I'm running it and it's a great little unit.
I'm running my system 3 way stereo, w/mono subs.
A QSC PLX1602(300W Stereo @ 8 ohms) for the horns
2 QSC PLX3002s(2000W Bridged Mono @ 8 ohms)...one on each 15 for the mids
A OSC PLX3402(3400W Bridged Mono @ 4 ohms) on both subs
Mains are EV Gladiator G115s...had to get in there and remove the passive crossover and seperate the horn from the 15" to run them biamped.
Subs are Cerwin Vega EL-36B "Earthquake" folded horn. These are the descendant of the popular SL-36 w/some cosmetic improvements and a different driver in them. All Cerwin Vega drivers now are made by B&C and the CV name is now owned by Stanton Magnetics.
I'm using my old DRPA on the monitors...this was a HUGE improvement from the Behringer FBQ3102 graphic EQ that I was using.
Board is a Mackie 1604VLZ Pro...this is soon to be upgraded to an Allen & Heath GL2400 24 Channel mixer.
