need help with metro 12k '68 ptp kit!

Post by 45auto » Fri Jun 23, 2006 8:41 pm

hey guys, is there a good diagram of the '68 (metro) ptp wiring i can use? my problem is, i have the metro '68 kit board, not the perf board. i have the steel chassis made to put the caps on the board inside. the instructions on the metro cd are for the newer model with the caps outside. i'm seeing now, that the ptp buss wires are different for starters. has anybody built one this way? NEED HELP BROS! TIA

OK... i see now that i'm going to have to get away from the "100 watt kit step by step" on the cd & just follow the great drawrings that billy batz, & other greats have left for us. i must take my leave now the buss wires must be rearranged!

Yeah, the 100 watt CD instructions are pretty much for the '69 and newer style. Dan's layouts will get you a long ways though.

thanks bud, i'm finally getting it figured out. i did see one thing on the gifs (ralle/stock 67) that might be wrong? shouldn't the two 10uF caps on the right end of the main board be tied together or both to ground that is?

They both go to ground and should be tied together with jumpers (don't forget, positive end to ground in the bias circuit!!!)
