Sozo vs. Mallory in plexi ?

Post by Tone Slinger » Thu Mar 01, 2007 11:46 am

Hi, just wanting final opinions on everything before I order. Which signal caps sound better in a Plexi build, the Sozo's or the Mallory's ? Also which filter cans that George sells are the best ? Thanks.

NOS Mustard is the best IMHO.

But in a shootout between Sozos of any era vs Mallory, hands down the Sozos win to my ears.

For Filter Caps, I like those German Made F&T Caps George sells.

And for all the other smaller Electrolitics I like the BCs.

The Sozo's are my first choice for a plexi build. The Mallory cap is second above others though for me.
Patience is a virtue.

Thanks guys, I cant afford the nos mustards, so the sozo's will be my choice, as well as the F&t's over the JJ's.

The Sozo's and F&T will sound great, can't go wrong with that combo!
