Well, not to do that, but Eddie was probably more influenced by Ritchie, than many would think. He also listened to UfO, and had all the Scorpions import albums(Uli Roth) Ed didnt just "Take Clapton, and did his own thing" like he said in interviews. He listened to, and borrowed idea's from many, like Blackmore and Roth. He was a fan of the Scorps import albums and later told Rudolph Schenker that he loved Uli's solo in "Catch Your Train".
