loop

I know, a marshall box yes but, I was thinking a little external box that can be easily moved, removed etc. Good one though, If that was a little humor.

That's what I was thinking also.
Put the curcuitry and the tube in a box and connect it to the amp with a multi-connection DIN plug. I don't know about the length of the cable since there would be high voltage in it, but I would think it could be long enough to go on top of the amp.

Never settle for an amp thats smaller then you are.

Re: loop
no that what i was saying - in its own small box - have been thinking that since i first saw the schematic.jerrydyer wrote:Mark wrote "put it in a box is what i want to do with it!"

Really no big deal, shielded wire fom master to effect loop and from the effect loop back to the PI. One wire for ground and one for the high voltage. Thats it.rockstah wrote:brilliant!
how about onemore shot showing where teh wires connect in the chassis?
The loop is dead quiet...
I will get some picture's soon

And still a drilled pair of cables for the tube's filamentthinlizzy wrote:Really no big deal, shielded wire fom master to effect loop and from the effect loop back to the PI. One wire for ground and one for the high voltage. Thats it.

The fault almost always is sitting in front of the amp

Oeps forgot about those two, so basicly 6 wires are going in the amp. Actually 5 wire, I mount the ground on the outside of the chassis.novosibir wrote:And still a drilled pair of cables for the tube's filamentthinlizzy wrote:Really no big deal, shielded wire fom master to effect loop and from the effect loop back to the PI. Would it be a problem (hum, oscillation) in a Superlead, to put the new tube to the left of V1 put an extra, small, turret board to the left of the original one and build the loop like that?
So not moving V1 and V2 and 'inserting' a new V3 for the loop?

No problem!
Only insure, that there no crosstalk occurs between the main board/input jacks and the loop board! You addidional might put a vertical aluminum shield between both - but the tube sockets are enough apart from each other.

Until today a total of 75 requests for the parallel fx loop schem from our Metro board members - not bad
But I'd like to see some more reports of users here, who have buildt and tried it yet
