your amp is split cathode.
Image

also try following the wires on the first preamp tube - V1 where do they go?

v1a or the normal channel has
pin1 - plate = blue
pin2 - grid or input = green
pin3 - cathode = yellow
v1b or the bright channel has
pin6 plate = blue
pin7 - grid = green
pin8 - cathode = yellow

Your labels are almost correct.

What you have labelled as V2a cap is actually a .022uF coupling cap for V1.

The V2a is the 0.68uF cap lying across the 820ohm resistor 6 turrets along from the one you labelled

I was not referring to you 8) I meant vkaxemans post on the 9th at 11.25 where he marked some up on his amp.

I edited and revised the picture. Please review and let me know if it is correct now. The amp is labeled Volume 1 and Volume 2 and not Normal and Bright so I may have that part of the component descriptions wrong. I have not had a chance to actually trace the wires as Mark has suggested. Currently working 2 jobs day and night. No fun :(

THanks for your help everyone!

My HW wasn't a real Marshall until George 'returned' it to stock  !

Hey yngwie308!

I read your posts and I found the mods George did to your HW amp:
Parts were:
Metro Amp Dagnall clone output transformer
(1) F&T 16 x 16uf can
(2) F&T 32 x 32uf cans
(2) Sozo Vintage .68uf
(2) Sozo Vintage .1uf
(7) Sozo Vintage .022uf
(7) Allen Bradley NOS 1/2 watt CC resistors
(3) Tung Sol Reissue 12AX7 preamp tubes
(4) Mullard Reissue EL34 Matched Quad output tubes
Do you have any audio files of your amp that I can listen to?

Thanks!

Don't know why you say that Mark,George told me that the HW with the changes, short of circuit alterations,is pretty close to his 1200,short of the plate voltage switching,I thought :D
No no sound clips yet,I am currently getting my playing together more and hope for clips soon,I don't particularly want to have a Van Halen sound,so I am happy with my amp as it is :D :D !
