Any King's X fans out there?

Post by toner » Sat Jul 14, 2007 11:03 pm

King's X is one of my favorite bands. Anyone else like 'em?

I have all of their CD's and have seen them live several times. I had the pleasure of talking with them at a smaller venue a few years back. They are very cool guys who really appreciate their fans and take the extra time to talk/take pictures, etc. Jerry, in particular, was very cool to talk with.

If you haven't heard them and appreciate a mix of good musicianship and song writing (IMO), check them out:

Here! Great, unique band. I have most of their CDs, plus Ty Tabor's solo stuff.

Never got to see them live, but some friends of mine opened for them in Seattle years ago.

Ty's a great player. I never was a big fan of his tone but then I also love Randy Rhoads and others in spite of their recorded sounds.

King's X is one of those bands that are, amazingly, greater than the sum of their parts, like Rush or Yes. They definitely have a good chemistry going, IMO.

I'm a big fan of the band and have seen every show in town, and quite a few out of town and the state, since 92. 8)

Huge fan. I've seen them countless times, and they always deliver. Definitely one of my all time favs plus super cool guys. Ty talked to me and my wife for over a half an hour at a show one time, about all kinds of stuff. Just like sitting around talking with your friends. I've also spent some time talking shop with him about his gear and such, super cool guy.

The new album should be out soon, and I can't wait.

I saw them a few years back, in a small club, that ive played at no less. Awesome band, but better people. THere was a skirmish happening during one of the songs, 2 drunk guys were yelling at each other and Doug Pinnick (bassist) started yelling at them to stop and told them there was no point in fighting... he basically stopped the show to stop the fight. pretty cool.

i loved tys tone on the first few albums, very lush and smooth. their most recent albums have been a little wierd song wise.

I still like them though.
