Saw your entry post on the LPF white room, very nice, I thought I saw some arguements on this forum, but the LPF holds the most ridiculous arguments award, read the thread on the 2007 Historics,
Nice guitar

LOL! Yeah, it's kind of like listening to two big, fat, 50 year-old Civil War reenactors argue about the thread count in their uniforms. It's like "Uh, guys, you're kind of missing the point here. . . I saw that on the 07 HistoricsWith so many differing opinions about the smallest of details; it's easy for a thread like that to fly apart.
Who cares if the molecular structure of the binding duplicates the original material used in the 50s?!?!
Shit dude, you've got a REALLY nice guitar there and if you are digging it, then I say play it in good health and God bless.
Rock on!

Thanks!
I have been wanting that plain top for a very long time. I saw Jimmy Page playing one when I was a kid and for some reason I fell in love with the look of it and I have always wanted one ever since.
This guitar does all of the stuff that you expect a guitar to do-it's really crazy.
With the bridge pickup volume full up, you get that Slash tone but as soon as you back it down just a touch it goes into that smoother Kossoff type of tone and gradually cleans up as you keep backing down and once you get to around 2 or 3 it goes into this real nasally, squawking tone-it's just sick!
This is probably the first guitar I have owned where I can actually use both the neck and bridge pickups together to get a whole array of useful tones without one pickup overiding the other; the balance between them is great.
One thing that it doesn't do that all of my other guitars do, even my SG, is get that non-musical sizzle and grit on top of the notes when the amp is cranked. I don't know if that is attributable to the "bumble bee" caps or not but I am assuming it is. All this time I thought it was something to do with the amps but I am not so sure about that anymore. This guitar has a buttery smooth tone with a really cool growl at the same time.
Okay, I gotta stop gushing or else I will have to take the day off from work and spend it playing
