RATT VIDEOS FROM THE CELLAR:THE ATLANTIC YEARS DVD

Post by yngwie308 » Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:57 pm

Treated myself to this great DVD of Ratts best years, this is a great compilation, with the inclusion of videos unseen from the Detonator album, and lots of bonus stuff, this is way killer, and I am lovin' this RATT AND ROLL !!!!
Some great playing and it's good to remember the good times from back then, Ratt were their own thing, not really metal, but Ratt n' Roll, Warren and Robbin had some great guitar tones and Warren's great lead playing, sounds as fresh today as it did back then.
I never saw the classic line up, saw the version in 1997 in Tucson, without Pearcy and Juan, or Robbin of course.
So a treat for my birthday Saturday.this dvd is great :D :D

Happy belated birthday Dave ! I alway's love the gift of music too. Yeah, the origional Ratt were unique amongst thier genre. They were often accused of being VH rip-offs, which I could never see. I guess it was both bands affinity for parties and the fact of both having great guitarist. Man, I never will forget,at 14 yrs old, seeing those guy's back in '85, on the "Invasion Of Your Privacy" tour. Man, I think I saw more tit's that day, than the whole rest of my life so far  . I saw them in great form that night, as the whole band was peaking. Even Stephen, was singing, like he was into it. Bon Jovi opened, and made perfect example of why a 'pop' band should never open for a 'Hard Rock" band, cause they (Bon Jovi) had thier asses handed to them. Only Sambora did anything of value concernng the whole of thier performance. Ratt were a big influence on me, especially Warren.

Great band. I remember seeing them open for Billy Squire in '84. They blew him off the stage!!!
