A Les Paul with P-90s front pickup on the left, and on the right, a Strat starting on the front , switches to back, then to the front again.

Straight into the amp, Marshall 2061cx 2x12 cab, SM57 on a greenback.

Nice... 8) Good to hear a real Strat for a change... Tasteful playing. Nice to get a break from EVH. Do you use like this, semi-clean, or do you ever use it turned up, or with pedals ? What kind of Strat ?

Hey Mac,
Sorry I didn't see this post earlier... Thanks.
You know about the guitar.
I mostly set my amps where they're just straining and groaning... breaking up a bit and giving me that warm fuzzy feeling. It seems to me thats when they're the most responsive and reactive to the guitar. I will also crank 'em when called for, as well as set 'em really clean if that's what is needed. Depends on the track.
I do use pedals. One of my favorites is the Xotic RC Booster. Fantastic sounding pedal.
I've found the 45 to be one of the most versatile recording amps I've ever used.
I've got a pair of NOS Genalex on the way... can't wait to get this amp completely dialed in.

i love this clip and this sound - very cool to hear - you're kind of jabbing once the rhythm really starts getting going down n dirty - the amps body and the strats sparkle are like a perfect compliment. awesome man.

Sweet! Nice sounding '45. I like my Bluesbreaker a lot, but I neet to get a head and closed back cab setup together one of these days.
