Loading Pickups?

Post by el34on11 » Thu Sep 20, 2007 10:34 pm

Hey all......
Kinda trivial question.....

Does anyone have a way of loading their pickups into the bezels?......I mean loading the hight adjustment screws and springs.....Just spent an hour looking for a spring that shot out like a rocket while trying to load my new pickups...... Their has to be a way other than fumbling around with it.. until it finally lines up.....

Thanks

This used to drive me nuts too. Now, I compress the spring and then clip a small alligator clip onto the bolt. Now you can easily get the bolt started in the bezel and then unclip.

I don't know how everyone has a tough time with this. It doesn't seem that hard to me. I just load everything in. Push down on the top of the screw with my thumb and when it lines up in the hole I give a few twists with my thumb and its done.
