Larry Carlton
I heard Greg Howe in '88. I loved his minor and major 7th tonality's. He mentioned LarryCarlton's "Sleep Walk" album. Man, that alum kicks ass. Larry has great feel and a very mature approach to technique and theory. He hits his desired mark nearly all the time. Great player !

Carlton's a great player but I find most of his studio stuff too conservative or "polished". I always think, "I know this guy can just wail, what's he waiting for?"
I'll have to check out "Sleep Walk". I haven't heard that one. The album I always enjoyed is a live recording called "Last Night". Great fusion/blues playing.
