I think that's some great tone there - very close to "the tone" indeed.
Regarding "sir tapsalot", Ed has never really been a "lead guitarist" though most people associate him only with Eruption, tapping, dive bombing, etc. He's phenomenal at that stuff, but his rhythm playing is what truly sets him apart from most so-called "virtuosos".
Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love, Atomic Punk, Dance the Night Away, Unchained, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Panama, 5150, Poundcake, Top of the World, Hot for Teacher, I'm the One, etc., etc., etc. - the rhythm is was makes it. The tapping is gravy.
Tipton is a riff-meister too for sure when it comes to metal. Man, he's penned some classic metal rhythms. From Rocka Rolla to Turbo - awesome stuff.
Rhoads? I could never get past the spanked beehive tone to really enjoy the playing.
oh my - clip

I never understood what the huge fuss with rhoads' tone was either. The only time I really like his tone was on Mr. Crowley. Everything else was just too buzzy for my taste.
I think your tone is pretty damn close rockstah. allthough a little dark for VH1 (but only just a tad) imo, its sounds awsome nonetheless.
