I agree with Stan, if you judged merely by his site clips the amp sounds very good.

However, the amp clips I have heard posted by peacemaker owners do not have the same characteristics. They sound very dry, overfiltered with no organic chewiness to me.

It may have been the combination of things the other players were doing but listen to Georges clips of his 68 with Marks(rockstahs) line level input clips. They sound great!

I'll stick with my Marhall's/Metros.

Vic uses real '68 Marshall 4x12s with G12H greenbacks.

I was at the Palace in January 2002 while they were building production Peacemaker #1. I was in that room and heard Vic play that SB Plexi [w/6CA7s] that is in the corner, through both vintage 4x12s. Best tone I ever heard ... EVER!
The Peacemaker is essentially a clone of that head/cab combination.

Vic plays dry through the left cab and has a H&K Replex going through the right cab, hence the delay.

Gotta give the man credit: Vic was the first guy to nail the VH1 tone. We all came in his trail and that's a fact. Few knew of Plexi Palace until Vic came around with his VH clips blowing everyone out of the water.

I was on the PP BB everyday between 2000 and 2003, Vic and Chris ****** gave out 90% of the secret and started this whole frenzy!
