Genre: Rock ...?
DISCO Dude! :P

remedy oscillator adds to what you're trying to achive.
In this case "more" is more.

I got some heavy criticism that clip 3 is killing the groove/rhythm in the song. What do you guys think? The oscillations CAN be sped up, however, they CANNOT by sync'd with the bass/kick - not even with quantizing ( believe me I tried). So, I am in a quandry here.

Things seem to be slightly out of time I dont think its an ossilation prblem..
go back and see if you can move your tracks back a bit . seems to me
most inst.. are late in the mix..

Jerry, to rule out the Remedy plug in, in clip 4 -what immediately strikes you as out of time? THanks.

well I didnt listen to clip 4 I listened to clip 3
It just sounds like the synths are late almost like they are starting on the up beat of the 2nd beat in the measure but not quite, in stead of on the 1st beat of the measure they sound late that all I can say about what I hear.. hope this helps :D

The first thing I noticed in clip 3 is the 8th note bass line is ahead (rushed) of the drums starting at about 0:16. That affects the feel more than the higher melody stuff.

Edit: After listening to clip 4, the drums are behind everything else. The kick is noticeably late.

Man, I must be bored if I'm analyzing disco! No offense Cary! Thanks for posting.

nice change of pace round here. quantizing quandry (ouch  ) all about the groove almost beyond numbers.
