BUILD YOUR SUPERGROUP

Post by Eargasm » Sat Nov 10, 2007 11:09 pm

We all have our opinions, so let's hear 'em! These are guys that you listen to - REGARDLESS of the instrument they are playing - that you really dig...they just "work" the way your mind works.
Who would you pick for your all-time greatest Rock band? Pick each member, no matter what band they actually play for of course, and assemble what YOU think would be (hypothetically) "The Greatest Rock Band on Earth". ABSOLUTELY NO LIMITATIONS - if you choose Sheila E. to play timables - that's great, you could also pick 2 rhythm guitarists, and three lead guitarists if you want...any musicians are accepted regardless of what instrument they play and how many of them.
Also no limitations in the dimension of time - Jimi Hendrix, or anyone else that has crossed over is fair play...
Think carefully (this is SERIOUS business afterall!) but don't worry too much if you change your mind later on...we are going to reserve the right to change our votes if necessary later on. And yes, expect your combination to look totally fucked up! (we ARE fucked up afterall!)
Let the game begin...

I am going with (for now) :

Drums - The Almighty Jon Bonham
Bass - Bob Daisley
Keyboards - Ludwig Von Beethoven
Guitar - Jeff Beck
Vocals/Lyricist - Bon Scott

See?..I told you, '"fucked up combination"...
Fuck it.

Man, I'd watch that supergroup just to see Beck and Beethoven having tantrums and throwing crap at eachother!

My drummer's old band (Blood For Blood, I think at the time) toured with Fear -- said it was awesome (even though I think Lee was the only original guy at the time).

Have you ever checked out MD.45? It strikes me sorta like watered down Megadeth, but there's some good tunes on there, like Hell's Motel & No Pain. Bummer that Mustaine got rid of Lee's vocals on the re-release.
