I don't know what I was thinking. I was hoping to save 20% on a TLM49 mic. Of course, I waited in line for a half hour to get helped by someone who didn't know what it was, and then found out they didn't have one.

I should have slept in.

I thought about going over to our local one this morning too but it's to close to sams , walmart best buy etc all on the same street. You also had the option of calling an 800 # and getting the discount.

I wondered if I could call or buy online for that price. Ah well.

Jerry, I almost called you this AM to see if you were venturing out there.

The local GC is in the same plaza as Best Buy, so the parking lot was nuts.

Also, the entire sidewalk was littered with coffee cups and cig butts. I guess people were lines up outside for hours. Silly.

My wife has a tradition, she goes Christmas shopping with my daughter every year on Black Friday. She used to do it with her mother every year before she died, and the tradition has carried on to her and my daughter.

I have a tradition too. I don't leave the house on Black Friday under any circumstance.

But what did everybody have the same idea today?? After getting another tat this morning (cause I NEED more of them  ), I stopped at GC as well, just to see if SOMEBODY could show me those elusive first few notes to "Smoke On The Water". Turns out EVERYBODY in the store knows 'em but me.  / :? :? /   / 8) 8)

HEY! I have very fond memories of schlepping down to Sam Ash in Hempstead (you know, fill!) on my bicycle every Saturday to plug into a real live Marshall stack just like Ritchies and playing Smoke! 8)
