What A Brother!!!

Post by Gibanez » Wed Nov 28, 2007 10:19 pm

I just had to share this with you guys. I recently built a D'Lite (Dumble) amp and asked my brother to bring his strat over to try it through the amp. A couple weeks of ago, he came over with a case in his hands and I was thinking to myself, cool, now I can see how a strat sounds through this amp. He opened the case and I'm staring at it and it's a brand new Deluxe Ash Body. I asked him when did he get it and he said he picked it up before he came over. He tells me to try it out and see what I think. After playing it, I said, "wow, I gotta get one of these." He then said, "Thats what I want to talk to you about. This is yours." Needless to say I had a lump in my throat as well as getting misty eyed. I couldn't believe it. He told me a big brother can do these things once in a while. What a brother!!!

By the way, in 1963 my mother bought him a brand new strat and I'm not sure if it was a 1962 or 1963 but he wound up trading it in for a Gretsch with the Beatles thing going on. I couldn't imagine what that thing would be worth now
