i live in harry truman country,saw him as a kid,have been to his library in independence mo several times(a must see if you are in kansas city).

it was a tough decision harry made.

It was a tough decision, but what most people forget is that Japan at that time was on it's knees, it was defenseless, and bombers were literally burning the country to the ground with incendiary bombs.
More people were killed with the incendiaries than both A-bombs combined.
They wouldn't surrender, and of course the A-bombs were the deciding factor.
