It's all done! I have some setup to do to get it perfect and then I'll do a soundclip. I can already tell this is going to be a tough one to get just right. I updated the previous pics instead of uploading more so the final pics are on page 2 of this thread.

The key to building a good EVH replica is to do it in the order that Ed did it. If you want a red Franky you have to start with a good black and white one. If you want a Shark you have to start with a good Destroyer (clone hopefully).

that one is swamp ash, but i'm actually making one right now out of korina. my customer sent the wood to me. the swamp ash destroyer is $475.

Not a bad deal at all. How much would a korina cost? Probably astronomical since Ed said korina was the most expensive wood in the world. :-p

My customer ended up paying a little less than 300 for it. I guess adding that to my cost and doing the hardware, setup and finishing yourself you still end up with an affordable axe.
