Ash body and Maple necks ... the ultimate Fender combination for me. It works on Strats AND on Teles. Three of my main guitars have that combination.

Alder is not bad for strats too. I had a bad experience w/ a maple body but I have to try again.
I played a friend's poplar strat once and it was nice too - I still prefer Ash.

Mohagony/Maple/Ebony are my favorites on LPs.

I was really impressed by the Padauk N4 that Washburn used to make. I wish I had bought one back then.

Gibson-style: Mahogany bodies, necks, (maple top) rosewood/ebony board

7ender/superstrat: Alder body, maple neck, ebony/rosewood board

Set Necks: Mahogany neck and body w/ maple top and ebony fingerboard
or Korina body and maple/rosewood neck
Bolt ons: Korina & Mahogany bodies, 2 piece maple necks
Neck Thrus: Mahogany or Korina

Really, got ya......with Comair did you flew the RJ? Used to fly to Cincinnnati in a sw-3 metroliner (piece of shit) with parts from Bombardier for the RJ's there, or was it there, anyway the maintenance bass for them....

Yeah, I flew the Brasilia first, then the RJ. I've actually spent a lot of time in Montreal. AWESOME city. I did simulator training up there, and did the whole factory tour. Then Chez Paris and Wanda's, among others. :-p

Yeah, I was paying more attention to things other than the name. :-p My instructors weren't Bombardier guys. They were in-house Comair guys.

I really miss flying into YUL. Such a beautiful city. And the people are soooo nice. I almost moved to Montreal back then. I was single and looking to mingle. And the girls are gorgeous up there.
