Post by redozzman » Thu Jan 31, 2008 5:15 pm

I am looking for the hendrix type cleans and fuzz distortion tones. Not the woodstock tone, maybe the In the West recordings tone if possible. My is a 56s witht the 56 custome shop pups, not sure what they are possibly their 54's? anyhow Anybody got anyrecomendations.

I am considering the Fralin vintage hots but I do not have a clue would love some suggestions please!!

Someone had posted this as a link a while back, but I can't remember who. Good for giving you an idea.

I've got a set of Vintage Hots that I like, very chimey, seem to go well with pedals. People who are not even guitarists usually comment on how "clear" this guitar sounds. And all positions sound good.

Also check out Wolfetones, very knowledgeable guy, lots of nice pickups coming from him.

No problem, I wish I could remember who posted originally.

But yeah its a great site, for me its all about either the CS 69's or the Fralin VH's. If money isn't an issue, I would check out...

http://www.wolfetone.com/ Wolfe is a real cool guy, and if you tell him what you want, he'll wind em till your happy. I've got a set of his Legends awaiting installation in my Les Paul. He also does custom work, as in models that might not be listed on his sight.

Good luck bro,

I just recently tried a Suhr V60LP in my SRV strat. 1000 times better than the Texas Specials. I was blown away at the improvement, and I've always thought that guitar needed nothing
