1968 / 69 Stratocaster Fender Logo Anomaly FYI

FTFI-

I've been checking and compareing the "newer larger style" Logo's decals
between my 1968 and 1969 necks.
Interesting there two types and one seems to be rare.
I questioned the logo on one neck knowing the look of another
and not reading or finding much or nothing at all researching this anomaly.

I found a picture in detail on the Stratcolector.com site
which is the rarely seen logo, but nothing is mentioned of this dacal style being 1 of 2 that was used.
This Logo is Large with a Gold band wraped around the Large F
and the small letters are precise and tight. This decal is on my #1 '69 neck.
The other style which is more popular is a heavey scripted Fender Logo,
where the spaces in smaller letters in Fender are almost touching,
because they are written thicker in style.
This style logo has no gold around the large F.
Both necks have the original finish untouched.

Just thought the group might be interested.

yeah, since I have more than a few mid to late 60's necks, (which BTW
on the whole. carry a real nice Fenderish tone in of ot self, due to the few years that they were constructed in that manner) that I have the oppertunity to look at up close, besides the need to check the integerty for my tone, and lastly, they cost more than a few dollars.
I'm sure that the few guys that buy and trade vintage parts know this but
keep this stuff to themselves for there own interests.
