Anybody owns one of the MP3 guitar pratice tools?
http://www.tascam.com/products/mp-gt1.html
I''m thinking of buying one. Easy way to learn some licks, right?
Maybe I'll go with the CD-GT2 version (CD) http://www.tascam.com/details;8,21,952.html
anyway, what do you think of those?

Thanks for the heads up. Just recieved the cd player model.
Pretty freakin' cool.
Learn a Dave Meneketti lead last night.
It has guitar effects with it also.
The only thing I see that could be different is the where the jack holes are.
They put it in the front instead of the side.
You want to be able to see the screen while setting up the song.
I did it sitting down while the unit was on a music stand adjusted to the level I was at. So the lip of the stand kind' got in the way.
Other than that, I think It's worth the money.

I have the Tascam CD-GT1 and liked it until I bought a piece of software for $50 and now I don't use the Tascam anymore-it just sits and collects dust.
I use Guitar and Drum Trainer (GDT). You might want to download the demo of it at http://renegademinds.com/Default.aspx?tabid=65
Slows down music and speeds it up, whatever you want. Pitch shift. Loops. Speed trainer - automatically changes speed hands-free. I don't have any interest in the company except I like the software.... If you're already set up to record guitar on the computer and have a soundcard and tone software like Gearbox or Amplitube, you already have all the stuff to make this work with music you have on your computer. Oh, and after looking at the software, if you want a used CD-GT1, pm me.
