Kinda funny where ol' Jens thread went... Nobody's afraid to jam with anybody, the headcutters are lining up at the "cricks" edge, there's at least one magic boy, nobody's cocky, everybody's confident, and we even got a banjo player in the band. Cool!!

Wacky huh fillmore, I just love these unmoderated artistes threads, the Hendrix one is into pickups, ect.
You are indeed a humorous fellow and I regularly crack up at your posts.
At least the threat of being taken seriously is not an issue here.
The only 'magic' is that these old arthritic fingers can still move, albeit motivated by the magic Enbrel that I must inject subcutaneously each week, ouch :( , but my thumb is getting better, on my left hand, so all is well.
Now back to the Batten thread
here is also a female guitarist/vocalist, guess who??

You would be wrong about that. Whether Yng posts clips or not, he is one of the best, most expressive writers on this forum, and has always been a real pleasure trading posts with. I've never met the man, but my "radar" says its not a necessary for me to meet him to form that opinion.
Seriously, bro, as a new forum member, you come across as pretty hostile, and Im wondering why. There are a LOT of really great guys here, and everyone is willing to help others, whether thats thru informational posts, or thru PM's, even up to forum members meeting up and having a cool night out, which I've done with a few of my friends here.
Im sure you probably have something positive to contribute here, whether thats knowledge of amps or guitars, or even if that just being friends with some guys here, and trading some humor back and forth. For a guy who is here less than a month, and currently has only 13 posts, you sure are coming out with your guns blazing.
People here dont try to hold grudges, and they dont attack other forum members for no reason. We try to have fun here, while sharing the wealth of knowledge available. Join the boys, ok??? 8) 8) 8)

Soulless and creepy, huh?

A) Michael Jackson, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck and Sting disagree with you. So do the 100 heavyweights she beat out getting the gig as lead guitar in Michael Jacksons band.

B) Its an Artists thread, not a Supermodels thread.

C) Ill venture a guess and say you wouldnt want to stand toe to toe with her in a head cuttin' contest though, wouldnt ya??? Probably have to be pretty drunk for that too.

:? :? :? :?
Given she's very talented, for a lot of blues players and classic rockers, her style doesn't tickle our fancy. Comparing blues players with neo players doesn't make much sense. A showdown with guitars is ridiculous. Proof of this is when Zakk Wylde and Slash played "Voodoo Chile" together. GOD!

I'M DONE!

I'm not being hostile, just responding to his post(see quote), and trying to get in on the joke. I guess the "joke" is on me!
He asked for my clips, I responded by posting some clips. I asked for his, whats the big deal? Earlier in the thread, I was "seriously" questioned on my Opinions, and clarified myself. Because I am "new" doesn't mean I can't speak my mind? I didn't insult anyone, or try to challenge anyone else's opinion.

On a furthur note, I am pleasantly surprised at the fact that this board is not moderated, and the posters here seem to be all great people, and players for the most part. A refreshing change from the HC's and TGP's etc. Not here to step on toes.

Tonemaster, only this portion of the forum is not moderated, don't be misled, trust me I know.
People that know me, know my deal, I don't have clips because I play for enjoyment, don't really practice, never played out and for the last 10 years have been suffering through psoriatic arthritis, which I refused to take a medication with possible side effects of lymphoma, ms, ect.
So I took lot's of prednisone so I could keep working as a cardiac critical care nurse, this led to me developing Type II diabetes to add to my woes.
I finally decided to start taking this inject able drug Enbrel, which costs like $20K a year, before insurance, still cost me several thousands a year just for it. I decided to take it as i had virtually lost the entire use of my right hand and wrist.
I underwent a dramatic improvement in the last two years or so.
A few months ago, a patient was coding and I was saving his life and he had a sort of seizure and my left hand was gripped by him in a death grip, I had to tear my hand out of his grasp before it was severely broken, causing primarily damage to my left thumb, I was off work for 4 weeks undergoing hand therapy, which I also underwent for my right thumb last year.
So if I made a clip, it wouldn't be my best representation.
I am a feel player, self taught and you might be surprised by what I can play, it's just since I have been on this and the 6 other forums I regularly post on, my role has been to write about music and guitar playing, rather than actively participating, which I do enjoy, but of course ultimately I enjoy playing the most.
Since I was 15 years old, I listened to Hendrix, Beck, Cream ect and moved to London in 1966 when I was 11 years old. So I enjoyed the rich music scence in London at that time.
I can sure play and hope to post clips in the future as I also have been having major problems with my new HW Marshall.
I really also have about 800 more posts than it shows as these were all deleted last year.
So my advice to you as a newbee and we all have been there, is to listen and learn, it is important obviously to have one's own opinion, but modesty will serve you better in the long run, as we all know, on any given day, there are multiple players out there, that can just slay us.
I am a person who makes the best of what I try to do and don't like making excuses.
Start talking about your playing, guitars, gear, ect and you will find this the most helpful forum you ever visited, as you know if you want to troll or flame out, there are plenty of other forums to act out on believe me.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, humility is the winning boy's magic. :)

Man, you've paid some dues. I feel for you. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't play.
As for the medical problems, I've had my share as well. Degenerative disc disease is having its way with me, complicated by arthritis, and five years ago had a real scare. Lost the use of my left arm for a couple of weeks, but therapy and traction brought it back.
Your advice will be well-heeded my friend.

So,,,you like my clips???LOL

Being new absolutely does NOT mean you cant speak your mind, and we have some luxury's here regarding that exact thing that other forums dont enjoy. I guess one of the factors is that members here dont "know" you yet, and your style of response. Not everybody is gonna get along with everybody, and as Yng has said, he probably knows this better than just about anyone. I've had my "conflict" with someone else here, but its over, and ya move on. Grudges, anger and thread wars take up too much energy that could otherwise be spent productively.
That being said, and the fact that you say you're not here to step on anyones toes (me either), I welcome you to the forum (albeit a little belated), and hope to have some positive exchange with you.
