What do you guys think of 1-Meg ohm volume pots? I recently installed one on my Ibanez and I really like it...

It'll be somewhat brighter with a 1 meg pot than it would be with a 500k, or a 250k. Same with the tone pot, if you're using one. Sometimes small changes like that make all the difference in a guitar that needs a little tweaking.

My '81 G&L Strat has a 1M volume pot... but this thing has INSANELY hot pickups (stock single coils). It fit the pickups but the pickups themselves I don't care for.

OUCH!!! - 1M vol pots in a Tele sounds like a recipe for screetchy treble.

I use 250k pots in my Tele with a Fender CS nocaster bridge p/up - sounds plenty twangy.
