Hmmmm
It sounds fishy to me. I'd be curious to know how many in that platoon were black. I mean he is sitting there and doesn't notice that two guys walk in and look over the stall next to him while he is pulling his pork? Come on! I think the poor guy just got the shaft from a bunch of preju white boys. I read all those reports. It smells very funny to me. Poor Hendrix. Well anyway it all worked out for the better! We got to hear him kick ass thanks to the Army giving him the boot. Success is the sweetest revenge!

I read the book "Room Full of Mirrors" and that indicated he was discharged because he went to the psychologist and said he was having all of these sexual fantasies about other guys in his squadron and was contemplating suicide... of course this was just Jimi's clever rouse to get out of the military
certainly I cannot confirm this to be fact but that is what the book said.... GREAT book by the way, I read it in 2 nights

From reading those reports it sounding like Jimi wanted out of the military and would do anything to get out. Was he drafted or did he inlist?
I cant speak for any racial tensions in the barracks, But reading those reports paints an ugly picture of Jimi. I would think that the miliary at that time was pretty intolerant of certain behaviors and it sounds like Hendrix wanted out and was willing to do what it took to get out. I know hendrix is a big Idol to alot of people on this board but why are these reports fo hard to believe? The guy was not famous at that point. Blowing off work to go jerk off thats pretty funny! The guys was only interested in playing music and the military was not cutting it. How many contracts did Hendrix sign in his lifetime. The guy did not care about Lawyers or contracts or the Military music was his life.

He must have been really concentrating on the "job at hand", no pun intended

It seems like an 'honorable discharge'
