George, damnit, where's that quad 6V6 amp?

Post by Scumback Speakers » Fri Apr 04, 2008 7:15 pm

Look, I know you're busy, but screw that! Where's that quad 6V6 amp with the killer lead circuit I asked about in October at the LA AMP Show?

You didn't really think those Tecate's and hot dogs were free did you?

Oh, hell no!

Ok, obviously you got hammered on the two beers you drank Friday nite before the show...

You said "Jim, what kind of amp should I do next?"

I said "George, a dual channel quad 6V6 in a small box head format with a big clean channel and a killer solo channel with it's own preamp and mv circuit would be the next amp to build."

You replied "Jim, when do you need it?"

I said "George, my birthday is at the end of May."

You replied "I'll get right on it."

I offered to send you an aluminum chassis already drilled out for the four power tubes and three preamp tubes, had faceplates and everything ready to go.

By my calcualations, you've got about six weeks to design, troubleshoot and test the damn thing to get it here by Memorial Day Weekend.

Now stop screwing around with that SVT amp project and tell me where to ship this chassis and PT to, would ya?

Thanks, buddy!
