Correct Wood for EVH Replica

Post by Krinkle » Sat Jun 21, 2008 6:39 pm

I'm looking on the Warmoth site and I see 2 choices for body wood, Ash & Swamp Ash. When I look in the Showcase section the choices are hard ash and swamp ash. Which one was EVH's VH1 white striped guitar body made of?

As for the neck, regular maple on maple or quarter sawn?

Thanks,

Darrin

The body for the VH1 was hard northern ash and the neck was bird's eye maple with a regular maple cap.

So from Warmoth it would be ash or hard ash, not swamp ash.

What was the width at the nut, I've heard different ones thrown out there. Does anybody know for sure?
