Pity Micheal Schenkers ex-wife had all his classic V's and apparently sold them for practically nothing, I read recently...

Yeah, she screwed him more than he did her  . You can imagine how it would be to have NEVER worked a 'regular', clock in, clock out type job, like Schenker, EVH or Uli Roth, to name a few. He did what he had to in order to live. Michael took that last 'divorce' real hard I undersand. He had no income for his varius 'child support' and 'alamony' payments, and ended up, himself, having to sell/auction off 3 of his main V's, just to afford to live. And that was in a motel I think. That last wife finished selling off everything else, including rare old recording equipment. Michael was/still could be best in UFO. Great chemestry they had.

I read in Guitar World that Micheals wife actually had possesion of the guitars, through whatever arrangment and sold them without really finding out what they could fetch. Micheal through his drinking or whatever, plus he couldn't get to then, so he was helpless to get them back.

Man, then that really sucked. I read an interview with the guy who got the #1 V. I think he paid about $23 grand for it. He said it was purchased through a broker or middleman, so maybe Michael didnt have nothing to do with it. I doubt he would have sold it, so yeah, 'ol ex wifie did it. The buyer/owner of the #1 V said he felt wierd owning it, cause he wasnt sure why it was sold in the first place. He said he loves Schenker, and would gladly sell it back.
