I like it how the owner states, "I will not take the neck off, I'll leave that for the new owner..  for $20K I don't think so.

Yeah, those blonde ones are cool! But not worth that to me.

That was one of the "custom" colors Fender used. Off the top of my head I think in the early 70s there was Olympic White, Blonde, Black, Mocha, Fiesta Red and Lake Placid Blue.

That color is more common than you think.

White versus Blonde :?:

Was this one born as "white" and aged into "yellow" or
was it born in "Blonde" ???

Fender "blonde" is see-thru. You can see the woodgrain through the paint.

The Ebay strat a 4 bolt type neck to body is nice, but these prices are mad! even in that condition. it looks as this seller is fishing.

Oh for sure this guy is fishy for sure. Acording to WOT these aren't that rare, although I haven't seen that many.
Wish I would have cared for these era Strats at an earlier date, as the prices are stupid crazy these days.

I agree with you guys these era Strats are not that rare to fetch money as that, with guys like us that were playing buying guitars when these were new todays prices are hard to take. I hated the later 3 bolt Strats, the quality coming from Fender/CBS then was at a all time low.

aging to yellow ??

I've just tried to clean my 77.
I have never seen a "white" turn into "yellow" this much.

Is this normal ??

Thanks for the pic MacGaden :D

Maybe it is the rough danish weather , that turns those Strats into yellow :?:

Yep! The kid has taste. The white Strat is the only blonde that has remained faithful to me, my first wife, we´ve been together since ´79...(I, on the other hand have strayed a few times.. I even had an Ibanez JEM at some point.. No depth, top little bottom. But she was fast! :D

(My "real" wife is younger than the guitar, and a brunette..!)
