I am not a big PRS fan normally, but am glad at the way his company works with established and newer players to further guitar playing.
Al DiMeola is a giant among guitarists no doubt!

I could never get behind the PRS thing. Always seemed kind of elitist to me.

I have a friend who has several (and others) and is not a very good player. We were going to a local blues jam and he asked which guitar I was bringing. I told him a strat or a paul, maybe even my masonite Dan Electro for fun. He said I think I'll bring my PRS's. I told him, if you're gonna bring a five thousand dollar guitar you had better play like a five thousand dollar guitar player!

Ues Chief I met PRS hisself a few years back in Washington,D.C., but I also met Ted McCarty there as well, which was much more meaningful. Paul was his usual self, yes, elite, would be a term to describe him. I don't care for PRS as they aren't really this or that and I like my differences between a Strat and a Les Paul, I even like 7.25" radius on my Strats! I thought it unusual that DiMeola would change to PRS, instead of the usual Cradle of Filth type player he attracts..

Gotta tell ya, I got a 2003 PRS CU 24 Brazilian, and the Brazilain fretboard just sings. It really sounds vintage and personal. The axe ain't too bad, either. Truthfully, it crosses the strat and the les paul nicely. I can get stratty tones and heavy les paul tones, I do, however, prefer my '68 custom RI, its just peerrrrfect...
