Now that I think of it, there is a Boss SP-1 clone from Behringer. I forget what it's called, but it has a name that's suggestive of the Spectrum as I recall.

I always liked midrange-y sounds. I also have a Jersey Girl Middranger, which is really nice for fattening up a Telecaster. I don't think I've tried it with my YJM Strat yet...

I'm also interested in that Jekeko static wah pedal. I've been listening to MSG's Perfect Timing a lot lately. What an unsung classic... :D It'd be great to get that perfect cocked wah sound at a single kick.

Dave, I haven't checked my Yahoo email since arriving here. As I wrote, I'm just jumping on networks here, of which there are at least two. I figure if my password here is compromised, no problem. I'll just email the admin. A compromised password on a Yahoo account is a bigger problem so I haven't logged on. Just send me a PM. :)

Outlier, what are you worried about exactly? I worked around wireless technology and specifically with securing wireless, maybe I can set your mind at ease so you can hook these folks up with the power of the grey clone.

Here is the spectrum pedal courtesy of Behringer, seriously you can buy loads of their effects for a comparable price of boutique buiders:

Check out the amazing list, Deutschland Uber Alles I think..
http://www.behringer.com/02_products/mu ... MP%20BOXES" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also check out the clips, they don't feature all the pedals and I have heard they come in a bubble pack, which discouraged trials in the shop, but my local GC is a dealer and with the windfall from the new presidency race ( Just Joking  ) might be able to swing a few of these bad boys!!
This one sound superbadd:

Thanks for the link. I'm not really familiar with Behringer pedals though. Any good?

Steve, the only bad thing people have said is about reliability, but thats not involving the pedals as far as I know, check out the amazing line up they have, some cool pedals for sure, they are super quiet and live up to the claims from what I've heard so far.
They are using a modeling technology to obtain all this wonderfulness for so cheap:
What exactly is RSM?
Effects processing devices have been around
for a very long time. They have taken the form
of everything from mechanical doohickies
that raise and lower the pitch of a string, like a
“whammy bar,” to the electronic circuitry that
recreates the highly complex reflected sound
of a subterranean cavern. Ever since early
mortals began making sounds, we’ve been
trying to make the sound better or alter it to our
liking. It’s part of our very nature.
At BEHRINGER, we build some of the finest
audio gear around, so it was only natural for
us to use our expertise to build a better stomp
box. But to do so, we first had to develop
an entirely new technology—Real Sound
Modeling. Our RSM technology combines stateof-
the-art DSP technology with sophisticated
algorithms that emulate real-world acoustic
environments. Such high-level processing
requires electronic architecture that takes into
account virtually all factors affecting sound.
The sound of a musical instrument is
affected significantly by a number of factors
before it is actually heard: the materials used, the
instrument’s design and construction, and the
components incorporated into the transducer
and amplification system. Even the subtle
interaction between amplifier stages can affect
the overall quality of the sound generated by
real instruments through real amps. This is
especially true in tube amplifiers, where the gain
structure of preamp stages creates a cascading
effect all the way to the output
Put simply, the average stomp box processor
does not have the power to mimic these subtle
nuances, which are so critical to attaining the
level of realism that BEHRINGER RSM technology
achieves. Thorough research and analysis of
these factors has enabled us to reinvent the
stomp box! RSM equipped pedals deliver
the detail of true-to-life amplifier and effects
modeling, without unwanted artifacts or fakesounding
approximations.
The high-performance RSM engine is only
available in BEHRINGER products that bear the
RSM logo. Hearing is believing.

I'm on a work laptop that we brought with us. Perhaps you could clarify for me how transmission of info from this laptop to some unknown neighbor's unsecured wireless network would still be secure? :?: :?

I always had the impression that doing so had a potential riskiness. Am I wrong?

Yeah pretty much lol.. if you are "borrowing" someone else's signal and they use no security or weak security like WEP vs. WPA or WPA2 then yup, when you connect to that signal, you are in essence bridging yourself to a mini network. Anyone else on range or private address space designated by the wireless router can in theory see you on the "network". Granted they probably have no clue you are there but if you are in a public hotspot then yes, you can probe or do port scans and potentially see other people and what shares they have on their systems. It all comes down to awareness as well as how far someone wants to go in finding toolsets that will exploit your weaknesses. However, if you are logging into a secure site that is SSL protected, your login credentials are encrypted so you are ok.. however, i see your point.

Not to get off topic (Behringer, ect. ) here is a YJM308 circuit diagram, I am yngwie308 and I approve this circuit diagram!! . This is the only boost pedal Yngwie is currently using:

You know what, being a Canadian I just have to say that Palin is one hot hockey mom. The only reason i am interested in your election is the following:

1. She is hot
2. She isn't even that smart and yet people take her seriously
3. Obama is clearly the better candidate.. yet it's not even a sure thing

How could anyone not find this entertaining?

HMMMMM........ Obama sorta reminds me of ......... Damien ! He is TOTALLY unamerican in almost everyway. He sat and listened to his country be put down ("Damn the U.S.A. !) for 20 yrs, as well as the usual 'lets blame it on the White man" rhetoric, was raised Muslim, and probably isnt even a true 'born' citizen.

I 100 % disagree that he a better choice. There are reasons why fund origins arent known 8) .

lol Toneslinger.. I am not even goign to get into this one because i am not american.. reread what you wrote and honestly ask yourself if it makes sense? Supported by terrorists? Why? Because he has a muslim name? I have an Italian last name, am I in the mafia? 8) .. besides, the "terrorists" have already come out and said that they would support McCain because he would keep the US in Iraq longer and deplete the American resources, moral and finances even more. Furthermore, from what I have read and heard from various news sources, Obama is often accused more of being an "uncle tom" by African Americans than he is a racist to white people is he not? At the end of the day though, I don't get to vote so have at it.. it is your votes to place so i hope people in the states aren't going to not vote because they can't be bothered.

For additional info.. I highly doubt he is supported by any terrorist organization. The amount of background checking and clearances he has probably had to go through would ensure he is on the level. That much you can be sure of..
