What exactly went wrong? Did you strip the hex key hole in the adjustment screw (the hole the hex key goes into), or did you strip the actual threads on the truss rod itself?kwm488 wrote:Hi

I would try another truss rod nut first.Hope it works.
If your neck needs a truss rod,I would probably just search ebay for another neck.Unless your trying to save a vintage neck its probably not worth fixing compared to getting another neck.

You CAN change the truss rod nut, but finding the correct truss rod nut will be the problem.kwm488 wrote:hi

Maybe one of these will work??

As Guitar Sam said, you're probably better getting another neck.

hi
i think i better to buy a new neck. but i really don't want to give up. i try to enlarge the truss rod hole , so i can use larger hex key to tune it. in fact, anybody have this experience before. can you give me more idea

Stewart MacDonald has this kit to repair truss rod problems. Im not sure if it will work in for your problem, but check it out anyway.kwm488 wrote:hi

Its expensive, though. It might be cheaper just to buy a new neck.
Good Luck!!!
