If I order the kit, does it include schematics for install into the George's 50 watt kit? I currently use the lar/ mar PPIMV - has anyone integrated these two mods?

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
The loop is just fine with a PPIMV and in 50 watters, neither are a problem unless you have the PPIMV located so as the loop cannot fit, then may just need to move the PPIMV to a speaker jack hole or the like.
As to specific instructions for 50 watt or JTM45 models, have not completed those yet, but just following the 100 watt instructions has done fine for others. Basically just physical board location and possibly the B+ tapping in point may be different. The loop board will just be centered between the last speaker jack and the chassis end, the B+ tapping point may be exactly the same as the 100 watter instructions or perhaps elsewhere depending on how old your Metro kit is. For the time being I will guide you guys through that point, just a couple quick measurements to know where to tap the power, then follow directions just the same from there.
Will talk to George about the easiest way to describe the slight differences in installs in those amps to you guys later today.
Any questions on any aspect of an install, be it 45,50 , or 100 watt, just feel free to ask here or shoot me a PM/email.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
All FX loop orders (except for one with an amp kit) have shipped!
Sorry for the extra 2 days delay. Steve and I wanted these to be perfect.

NEWB here!
Hey, any option yet to order available amp kits with the chassis pre-drilled for the effects loop add-on kit?
Great forum, btw!
Thanks,
Art

No option for us to drill them yet. But we will add the loop kit as an option for all the kits.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
Got my kit today. Thanks George.
I don't think that I will install it this weekend but when I do I'll make some clips. I still have my setup in place.
I have a bunch of pedals that I can use to demo it, I'll probably try my MXR Carbon Copy delay. I also have a reissue MXR Flanger (18V), not the EVH one though.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
Minor update on instructions again, just trying to add in more 45 or 50 watt stuff. Also a new step 8, will just need to add the tiny switch jumper yourselves now, figure you guys can handle that 2 second job

FX loops coming to Metro.
Hello Steve & George - Any chance of making a kit to fit into channel 2s input sockets along with using a switching input socket to activate and
deactivate?
I'm asking as I'd like to install it into original Marshalls but not drill any holes. I've installed Larry's GREAT loop into these 2 input sockets before with success. Add to that I don't want to put anymore holes into my Metro 12000 (#13 by George)
Thank in advance.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
Installed mine this weekend. It works great!
My instructions were the old rev without step 8, so I missed the jumper at first. Two seconds and it was fixed.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
Glad you like it AJW, sorry about the step 8 thing, glad you got it quick. Used to put that switch jumper on myself before sending the kits, why older instructions don't have that step.
I'll always announce instruction updates here, change the link on the original post when/if more updates come about.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
Steve, I'm using a Decimator noise reduction rack unit the ProG version, the loop would be for that mainly! Will it work? I couldn't find the minimum signal in for that unit!!?

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
I quickly skimmed the ProG instructions, but looks like you can set the reference level to +4bu or -10dBu. So should work fine I believe, just be sure to use the - 10dBu reference setting.5150loveeddie wrote:Steve, I'm using a Decimator noise reduction rack unit the ProG version, the loop would be for that mainly! Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
I just ordered 2 kits for my amps... but I didnt realize there may be issues with using rack effects. I primarily use a Rockton Intellifex and Replifex. Will the loop work with these effects?
