This may be the '54 Oxblood in VOS mode, ie; $8K, who knows. Chief I need you to infiltrate the Gibson inner sanctum, I know next to impossible, who knows though!

"Gibson Custom Jeff Beck VOS Les Paul" Interesting that they are allowed to call it that... The "Oxblood" have been an unofficial JB Les Paul for years, but now they use his name.. Maybe Jeff needs a new Hot Rod, or the roof on his garage fell in.. :D

About time, eh!?!?!?!

Gibson's website is slow as shit. Trying to see if it's there.

Gibby has come down off their high horse and have a booth on the floor at NAMM this year. No more "spectators only allowed in the suite on Sun" crap (I hope).

Let´s see how it goes, but if I go to SF, I will try to make my way down to see you.

How is it going with your "New" guitar ?

I believe so Chief, the aging looks real, I suppose Jeff still has her..
I thought it looked like the real one, not a Murphy razor job..
The guitar is finally available on the Gibson page, we expect a full report from NAMM Chief. Myself I will be watching my Eagles here in Arizona.
$6941 RRP...find out if they have changed the pickups at all, let's hope for $7K!! BTW, I haven't mentioned any Strats at all let me say!!

I can imgaine what the first 50 are gonna go for...and they're still using burst buckers...

"The first 50 of these historic guitars will be carefully aged by the master luthiers at Gibson Custom to look exactly like Beck’s original, then personally hand-signed, numbered and played by Beck himself."

I'm surprised at JB. He probably does need a new hot rod!

I bet those first 50 will be big bucks. Like the Page LP's but he picked the first run of guitars. I wonder if Jeff is doing that with these. Id like to see that video of him actually playing a Les Paul again!

One thing for sure... those Jeff Beck LP's have to be the friggin' hardest used guitars to find for sale on the planet. I've been looking all over the internet and cant find even one.

This is as close as I came, but it got sold before I could nail it: (very cool guitar though)

Dave, that JB you posted above with all the finish checking is outrageous.

JB has become so one with the Strat I can't see him on a Paul anymore. If I'm not mistaking JB wanted to use the Strat on Blow by Blow but George Martin insisted on the Paul. Shit, what does George Martin know anyway?

NAMM's almost here and it looks like Gibby's got a booth on the show floor this year so I just might get to see it....

fill, I literally stepped in shit with this one. I had no idea Gibby was even making the oxblood. I got a hair up my butt one day and googled "JB Oxblood LP" and got a hit on ebay. It was a collector/dealer in the next f'n town!!!!! Like if you were in Valley Stream and the axe was in Lynbrook. I knew it was coming home immediately!
