And yes, prior to the first world tour, he would often use one EP onstage.

It is a bootleg from the early to mid 80's that surfaced, my brother and a friend bought it.

The liner notes on the copy I have that is in LP form are as follows... "Die Laughing", Recorded in Pasadena, CA, 12/20/77, this is a high quality show in both sound and performance. Hear the original lineup of the band just under 2 months before their debut LP was released on Warner Bros. Records.

All the stage audio between the songs are intact.

You can hear Michael Anthony and Dave many times throughout the show thanking and giving kudos to Ted Templeman who obviously was at the show and letting the crowd know about their upcoming album release. It is a great show Ed's tone and playing absolutely shined at this show.

Robin, do you recall what year Ed's cabinet was? Was it a particle board or plywood back?

The NeverWasNeverWillBe Jose EVH signature amp ... I remember Ed stating he suck a lot of $$ in R&D.

BTW - Isn't Rockaforte also making a combo that was designed with Matt Bruck for Ed?

Ed had a ton of cabinets! I'd bet a few might of had ply backs but most were particle for most that I've seen in pics have plastic handles! As per this topic getting cluttered up....I have noticed a bunch of repeated EVH rig questions.Sure they are on topic but if one reads they will see its been answered. I know this EVH rig thing is extensive but I think some just take it and make it way more complicated then it is!!! I'm also suprised no one has asked about Ed's cabinets &speakers sounding different because of the humidity and all the beer that must of been spilled on them

That surely had to effect the sound,right??? L.M.A.O. I almost forgot... Somebody told me the Power Steering was out in Ed's 1972 Volvo and thats how he built up some of his hand strength!! Now I don't believe it but thats what I heard.
