Got a new ephiphone slash goldtop!!!

Post by jbzoso2002 » Sat Apr 04, 2009 7:51 pm

I got because of the construction, not slash.
They had 4 that i could play and 1 was far
better than the other 3. It has a long neck
tenon, real mahogany body and neck.
A real maple top. Very resonant, very solid.
It feels like an exspensive gibson. It stays in
tune very well also. Came with a nice case too.
No weight relief holes & no chambering.
It needs a bone nut and fret relevel/smoothing.
Im haveing the fretboard rolled also. It will get an
RS pot kit Seymore Duncan Antiquties, Tone pro's
bridge, abr1 conversion, lightweight tailpeice.
I allready put Grover's on it.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Epiphones are a great value if you find a good one. I have a G400 that's almost 10 years old which beats a Gibson SG faded that I have, tone and playability wise. It doesnt quite compare to my Gibson 61 reissue though.

When can we see some pics of your goldtop???
