To be fair, it seems as though Ingo did undergo a couple of genuine crises that no-one would ever want to go through in their lives. Hopefully his new business venture will be better at actually delivering the goods than it would seem his previous one was.

That's exactly the feeling I got when I read up on his situation on the 18 Watt forum.
I really appreciate you steering me in the right direction and hope everyone reading this
thread understands that.
From all accounts, Ingo is a very knowledgeable guy that produces
a very cool product and is a good man with good intentions. I always like to do business
with those kind of people.
That's why I hang around here!

Interesting that you have the same name as what I believe to be his previous incarnation(shinrock).......

I didn't want to mention some of the comments I read in my initial post, as communication can be an issue. That's why I suggested you do your own search.... Not about to flame someone if their life, is indeed, turned upside down. Family first...

Glad you got your tranny. I too, would hope this incarnation is better at delivering the goods. We like giving our money to the little guy. Good Luck Ingo, and I hope all is well.... We don't mind waiting, if we know in advance. And a little communication goes a long way....

The story continues...........
I received my transformer from Ingo last night. Shipping wasn't too long.
Definitely quality couriers. DHL and USPS. Really packed nicely (safe and
secure). Gives the Tube Tramp a run for the money! Ha.
And it is one sweet looking tranny.
It comes complete with a warranty certificate for TEN YEARS! and a nice specs
sheet where all the taps are tested and the values are right there for you to
see. Looks like it's made exactly like the Radio Spares originals.

Got to get this amp built so I can hear this baby!
I hope This thread didn't stop anybody from trying out Ingo's goods. He has
taken care of me nicely. I couldn't be happier now.

and personally I have never heard such a great tone, especially from an 18 watter recorded at home

By no means do I mean this in a busting on you way but sure this guys good and his amp sounds awesome but I personally didn't think he did anything "special" Again don't take this wrong...he is WAY better then I am but theres probally tons of guys on youtube with amps that sound as good also.Did you ever listen to the offset Marshall over at Vintage amps forum??I think the true test of how "good" someone is is to listen to their own music.I will agree is not easy to play Van Halen,Gilmore,Rhodes etc&etc. but ALOT of people with enough practice pull it off quite well.Hell.. I still cant make alot of VH songs SOUND like VH! To me this guy just sounds like a decent player, playing a PinkFloyd solo correctly!!

I wrote Ingo in June to get a PT for my '66 JTM, he replied that it would take him about 8 weeks to start winding again. So I tried again in September - well, I'm still tryin'...
