Some of my geetars :)

Post by azazael » Mon Nov 23, 2009 4:45 am

Hi folks.

Thought I'd post some pics of my guitars.
These pics are only of my Musicman guitars at the moment I will get pics of the others up once I get the time.

I put 8 Hercules hangers on the wall yesterday and have another 4 to put up and I took this pic.

I will post some more later when I have time to resize them.

That was my first attempt at building one.
I started another because I was not overly satisfied with how that one turned out.
Mainly my paintwork could have been better.

Pics to follow

I took some photos but as you can see the front is not that good.
It was better until I stupidly tried to smooth it and made the "gull" part bleed.
For first attempt its ok but I have started another just because it annoyed me and I will eventually take this one apart.
Mainly just the pickup, bridge, nut I need for next other one.

The back looks better than the front...

Please do not take it apart. You may be selling yourself short. Many of us would love to have that replica as is!I know I would! Nice work!!

I will eventually put it back together when I get a floyd for it.
All I am really taking off it is the pickup and the floyd.
I need the nut also but I might just buy another nut for the new neck.

I have a few handmade EVH type PAF pickups that I still have to find a home for so one of them will make it back to this guitar. I will also have a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom to play with somewhere too.

I think I went over the top on the relic of the Trem on that guitar though when I had a look at the real/replica I notice the floyd is not as abused as mine is. I can post some more detailed pics of this guitar if anyone is interested.

My new one will top this one though.

Can't do much worse than Ed's bicycle paint! Isn't that the whole idea? :D

Its just once you start one of these things, all the bits you done wrong eat away at you.
Striping patterns etc...

it is an incredibly heavy guitar as well though.
Once i get my next one built I will maybe rub it back down and turn it into something else because i love the resonance of the guitar.
