Small box head

Post by AEA » Fri Jun 11, 2010 6:35 am

Hey Guys,
I am looking to build a metro 50w head but I would really like a small box head cabinet so it will look good above a vertical 2x12 box. Is there somewhere that makes a cabinet that will fit the metro kit that possibly could make a vertical 2x12 cabinet as well? I am looking at having matching red head and cab so if i can get both from the same place it would probably be a better pairing.
Anyway thanks for any help you can give me guys!

And you can get them in red.

For a 2x12 I'd suggest Jeff Swanson, StoneAge Custom Cabinets or Mojo. They can all use the same type red levant that you'd get from Metro (who gets their cabs from Mojo, AFAIK).

Really? Sorry for my stupid n00b question then. Haha. From photos i have seen it just looked like there was a lot of room either side of the chassis inside the head so i assumed they weren't. I am pretty new to guitar amps (being a bass player and only ever having used guitar in guitar rig for recording) and am still learning about amps. Thanks for answering anyway guys.

And ill check out mojo etc. for a speaker cab. Thanks again for your help and not flaming my ignorance :)

There is extra room on either side of the chassis so the 50w could go in a even smaller box than is normal. You would have to have the cab made custom. This is the aluminum version in a standard small box cab.
