Yeah that would be the HOLLOW Gibson sound. There is the solid body Gibson sound and the hollowbody Gibson sound. There's also the semihollowbody Gibson sound too. The semihollow has some of the character of the hollowbody tone, but much more subtle. The hollowbody tone is really midrangy and REALLY BIG sounding. This is mostly due to the spruce top since spruce is a very resonant wood. The solidbody sound is much fatter low end wise, but with the top end "ring" that both the hollow and semihollows have.

That top end "ring" I speak of...that's that sound that only a Gibson can get. I don't know why, I don't know what the fuck it is that Gibson does to get that, but no other guitar can get that top ring like a Gibson can. That's why I love Gibsons so much.

One of these days I'm gonna plug my Gretsch 6120 into my JTM45 and see what I can get out of that set up!

I knew a guy by the name of Mark Hitt (played with a group called Rat Race Choir) who played a dot neck about 3 feet in front of a 100 HiWatt and controlled that thing like he had his hand around it's neck. Wait...he did. This guy is amazing guitar player. I would go see him every week and he would always pull off something astounding. Like in the lead break in "Over The Hills", he would do both harmony parts at the same time.

Found him!

He played on the last album by Torque which included the pld Rat Race drummer Steve Luongo. I listened to the clips at CDBaby (ordered the CD too). I forgot what a monster this guy is. He was dong the Vai, Satriani meets EVH before any of them. Seeing he's from NY you know Satch and Vai know Mark Hitt. What a killer.

What is the shortest book ever written? "The Humility Of Ted Nugent" Some guy said this joke in one of his interviews and Ted thought it was hilarious.

My neighbor who plays a country gentleman copy came over and played it through my 67 Super Reverb, and played Rock around The Clock.
It sounded so exact in tone, I thought I was listening to the record.
He played a bunch of other jazz stuff,Stary Cats, and country stuff.

Perfect for Stary Cats stuff.

I imaging a Hollow body through a JTM 45 would be similiar.

They do feedback on higher gain settings.

My Gretsch 6120DC does feed back quite a bit with the 45 if I'm at volume and playing in front of my speakers. Let's just say it helps me work on my string muting! I think it has a lot to do with how I like the fatter tones of the 45 -- I'm just lookin' for trouble doing that.

Interestingly, I get less feedback with my JTM45/100!

Just because somebody thinks differently than you they are a mindless dickweed?

WTF is that about.

How old are you like 15?

You lost all credibility with me at "mindless dickweed".
