 Awesome kid!! He plays like a veteran.
I guess when you start playing at age 7 and record your first album at age 10, 15 is almost "over the hill".

How many of you guys are 2 or 3 times his age. Now I feel REALLY OLD...

You gotta watch the video clip of Summer Song.
Is that a FRETLESS guitar???

If it is fretless…. Holly SH!T !!! I'm impressed!!
Also, COOL camera shot angle from the guitar headstock.
All the other video clips shows him ripping also.
Great chops & licks!!!

Boy...after watching his video clips.... I REALLY miss my long hair days!!! My hair was almost as long as that kids hair.... I still remember that very day when I went into Supercuts and lopped it all off. After walking out of Supercuts, I felt like Hercules when he lost all his super powers. I felt sooooo vulnerable after that.... Holy Sh!t... That day was over 15 years ago. That Nick kid wasn't even born yet! Now I feel REALLY REALLY OLD ...   Getting old really SUCKS!!!

  :D

He used to hang out over at PP. Haven't seen him around in a long time, but I don't show up very regularly anymore either...........

That's all I have to say now that you have me feeling OLD.

A friend of mine was like that when he was 15. This was when the whole yngwie and VH thing was en vogue. He used to nail all that stuff...real clean melodic player...and here I was having played longer and I'm sitting there working my way through Rush and Zep opuses. Now, decades later, while I can nail some satch and vai, I still can't alternate pick everything....it's an annoying frustration...not something I'm crying at night about...but annoying nonetheless. That's what I dug about satch is that his playing was a bit bluesier and more legato-based...fit my own style of playing better.

I think he would have gotten a better start if he was performing around the same time Kenny Wayne and Jonny Lang did when they got their debut. Even though those 2 are bluesy, he would have been a great contrast. However to do that, his parents would have to hit the hay sooner than they did.

The kid plays great...don't care for the fretless guitar much..you can hear it being off at spots....Of course the intonation is a lot better no frets to go sharp as you press for the note....the secret is...you just got to hit the right spots.
